I have a special diet and certain foods I can't eat.  Can The Morrison customize a meal plan for me?

Yes. In your initial visit at The Morrison you will meet with one of our dietitians to discuss your favorite foods, and your needs and wants concerning the menu. All of our meals are home cooked, well balanced, and customized to meet the needs of each resident. We also offer snacks during the days and treat each resident like they're at home and serve meals in a homelike atmosphere.

 

If I want to leave the facility to spend the afternoon with a family member, are there restrictions I need to know about?

There are no restrictions on leaving The Morrison for a day, shopping excursion, or just for lunch. In fact we encourage family members and friends to continue active relationships with residents. The only requirement is to sign an in/out sheet.

 

I'm still a licensed driver and would like to know if I can bring my vehicle?

Absolutely. The Morrison will assign you a parking, close to the front entrance, in the parking lot. We do ask residents to check their keys in with an administrator so we can properly sign you in and out when you wish to leave the facility for an outing.

 

What happens to me when I run out of funds?

Rest assured your health needs and peace of mind are one of our main concerns. We will assist you in obtaining Medicaid and HCBC Services to assist you in paying for your stay in assisted living. You will not be asked to move to another facility and will be welcome to continue living at The Morrison.
